Rocketship skirt, aka one of the worst pictures of me ever because there’s one full-length mirror in the whole house and it’s at the top of a flight of stairs and I was using a cell phone

-Make circle skirt out of rocketship fabric, night sky fabric, blue ribbon (or gored skirt? I only have a yard of each…)

-practice trombone for the first time in a month in preparation for clinic tomorrow (:D for Bonerama, :( for not practicing since school let out)
-work on the Android notepad tutorial part 2 (in preparation for Android Camp this July)
-unpack everything from moving back home after freshman year ended (hahahaha as if)
-bemoan the fact that Linux won’t recognize my laptop screen as a primary monitor when the secondary screen’s attached

Maybe now that my sister has a new computer she’ll give me her old one
and I can install Gentoo on it
might be more trouble than it’s worth though, the hard drive is not the only part that’s failing, only one USB port works and the left top mouse button aka the one I use is dead (it is a T40, they stopped making them in like 2003-2004)
still, I want to be all like
“we can rebuild you
WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY”
(of course I talk to my computers, who wouldn’t)

My sister has a laptop now. It wasn’t as fun as I expected because her needs in a computer are so different than mine. She probably won’t even let me install Linux on it.

I’d go on IRC now but I have things to do:
My little sister is getting a new computer, since hers is from 2003ish and several things have stopped working, and I’m the family expert on computers (even though my parents both have PhDs in engineering/computing…), so I have to research and try to figure out what she wants, probably by going to stores and pointing at laptops. And Mom wants a new computer too so she can program for Android without the emulator crashing. And I love computer shopping even when it’s not for me.
